Safeguarding
Children come first. Always.
Underneath is built around the belief that every child deserves to be understood and kept safe. This is how we hold that promise.

Our commitments
- Children's information is treated as sensitive at every layer of the platform.
- Only the adult who created a child profile, and people they explicitly share with, can see that child's check-ins.
- Sharing codes are time-limited, revocable, and visible to the parent at any time.
- We never publish, sell or expose information about a child.
Not a clinical or crisis service
Underneath is a supportive tool — not a diagnostic, clinical, or emergency service. If you are worried a child is being harmed, in danger, or in crisis, please contact the right people right away:
- Emergency: call 999 (UK) or your local emergency number.
- NSPCC helpline (UK): 0808 800 5000.
- Childline: 0800 1111.
- Samaritans: 116 123, any time.
- Your GP, school designated safeguarding lead, or local authority.
If we see a serious concern
If something shared with us through our support channels suggests a child is at risk of significant harm, we may pass that information to the appropriate authorities. We will be transparent about doing so wherever it's safe to be.
Working with professionals
We are building Underneath alongside schools, SENCOs, therapists, family-support workers and parents on neurodevelopmental waiting lists. If your service would like to collaborate on safeguarding standards, please get in touch.
